One of the huge causes of children's deaths in Africa is AIDS, there is an inspiring initiative going on right now to streamline the CAMR bill to make it more effective.
Canada’s largest generic drug company, Apotex, has promised to make a lower-cost children’s version of a key AIDS drug for export — if Canada’s law is streamlined. Current treatments for children — even where available — are challenging. For instance, kids struggle to take bad-tasting syrups, which are hard to store and refrigerate, need to be taken frequently and are difficult for the caregiver to transport the required large quantities from hospitals to homes.

Students can be involved in a rally that is being held in Ottawa. They could participate by joining the Facebook group (below), postering for the event (they could get volunteer hours for it, and we can send the posters), or attending the rally. They hope to get as many people out as possible and are sending free buses from Toronto and Montreal.
